About the Authors
A native of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Mary grew up as the youngest of six children in a family of misfits. She has worked as everything from a history museum director to a toilet seat hand model. In her other life, she’s an award-winning poet, professional eavesdropper, and the person who wipes runny noses.
These days, I continue to work on stories for children and adults, as well as essays, articles and newsletters. We still need insulation and a new liner for the chimney. Which is all a long way of answering the question: Why do you write? I write because it’s pretty much the only thing I can do. I play the guitar badly, I cannot clean, and I’m no good at math. I write because it keeps me sane. I write because I love telling other people’s stories as well as my own. And I write… I write for heat.

What was a recent dream that you had?
dreamt of my ferret Trouble (she has a blockage recently and almost died)
I recently had a dream that goats were attacking me. I just got goats a couple days ago so it isn’t that random.
My latest dream involved me wandering through a castle to find a way to escape, but apparently I never got out.
I can run and jump and fly. People can’t see me fly but I’m up there. I was flying around a huge store and I could get down so I was sitting in the metal beams watching people. I was hoping to fly out the door when it opened.
Dreamt about deadlines at work. 😮
I dreamt about being in a forest or similar to one with people I didn’t know where we would be chase by this sort of shadows that tried to kills us. The shadows couldn’t get to us if we were standing on a surface with a triangular shape. (Such a weird dream)
My last dram was a nightmare. With me running for my life and me waking up in a hot sweat.
I always have the weirdest dreams. I think my most recent one was swimming through the streets like they were underwater.
I recently had a dream that I found a tiny puppy abandoned in an alley. I took it home of course!
I can’t ever remember my dreams. It’s like flashes & then it’s gone. It’s kind of creepy but my family has weird . . . sleeping habits? I wake up a lot feeling as if I’ve had a conversation & my jaw is sore. I find I talk in my sleep. There have been times I’ve laughed & woken myself up. I might dream of talking w/ a friend & thought . . was that real? Anyway, My last dream was of me & my mom yelling, I think.

This is Colleen. The last dream I had was my brother getting a phone before me. lol.
The last dream I had was of me playing League of legends. I have no clue why. lol
I had a dream that I was back at home with my friends.
That I was working and work was really really weird.
My most resent dream that i can remember would be being trapped in some huge mansion. In this mansion I was running from something, but i don’t remember what it was. Doing so, i remember bumping into people i know, yet i don’t remember who they were once i woke up. I remember hiding somewhere with a guy. (lol i know right?) The thing was just about to get us, and i woke up.
It was pretty intense. 😛
My last dream was about someone taking little kids and trying to turn them into zombies or something so they could take over the world and I had saved about ten kids off of a bus including myself

I had a dream that my best guy friend liked me.
I had a super weird dream involving a hunted motel next to a graveyard, killer clowns and insects, and my friends. It was weird and super scary
I was in class, but it was boring so I flew away with my wings!

In my last dream, I was running away from something that was following me… what was following me? I have no clue.

I had a dream about my car breaking down at night in a strange neighborhood, it was pouring rain and I was later for work.
My last dream was me moving from south Cali to San Francisco for school…
I recently had a weird dream about a girl from school who I had one small conversation with her and she was trying to kill me by pretending to be friends with me and becoming loser to my family and me . She also tried to seduce my father.
I dreamed that we put up 3 Christmas trees in our house at the end of Thanksgiving. The three of them were COMPLETELY different in decoration and height and appearance. One was the usual height with colorful Christmas lights and different Santa Claus related plush toys and red ribbons (like my family’s actual christmas tree), another was kind of short (about 4 feet) and was decorated with white lights and white ornaments and the last one had almost no leaves in it and was about 6 feet tall and it was covered with white ornaments (Christmas balls, I guess XD)
