About the Book

The New York Times bestseller comes to the big screen!

The Passage meets Ender’s Game in an epic New York Times bestselling series debut from award-winning author Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother–or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

I haven’t heard of these books. I love the cover of the second one. It’s very modern and eyecatching and mysterious. The synopses sound very interesting and right up my alley. I’m not ashamed to say I’m still a dystopian junky. 🙂

  31. Josh says:

I actually already read The 5th Wave. The cover is different than the original but I like it. I’m a huge fan of Sci-fi and Post-apocalyptic, and this cover would lead me to believe it was one, (post apocalyptic) and the synopsis shows it is a bit of both. The girl alone with a young child in what appears to be an empty landscape that has been destroyed by some event. Great books, can’t wait to get around to reading the rest of the series.

  32. laura lesko says:

I haven’t read them yet and I can’t wait to get me hands on them!!! 😉

  33. Lillian says:

I don’t like movie tie-in covers, but the synopsis sounds really suspenseful and interesting and I want to read the 5th wave before I see the movie.

  34. Alice Bakoulina says:

The covers are amazing. But I really like the second one, because it is very mysterious and it just has all of my favorite colors in it.
