What do you think about the cover and synopsis?
The cover is okay, but the book sounds really good and original- I have never read a book about the dog flu, so that aspect sounds promising.
Personally, I think that the synopsis is waaaay better than the cover, but I’m not saying that the cover is bad. Nope, the cover is very nice, and the simple color scheme is captivating (unlike those other book covers with all the colors in the spectrum), but the synopsis is just more original. 🙂
the cover’s okay; sounds interesting
I like the color scheme for the cover, and that is one doggone cute dog! It’s kind of simple though, and I have no idea what Tor is wearing. Are those socks or leg warmers or what? I’m getting a not-your-average-girl vibe from her already. I wish the cover was more complex. It seems very simple with just a few elements that don’t really interact.
The synopsis is really well written, in that it instantly makes me curious! I almost categorically don’t read “dog books” because they get sappy fast, but this sounds like an actual adventure that follows someone competent and quick-witted. Glad to be entering the giveaway!
The synopsis sound very interesting. I’ve never read a dog book but after reading this I really want to! I love the dog on the cover. He reminds me of my neighbours dog that I used to play with all the time when I was younger
Got to be honest… I find that the cover could have been so much better, in terms of both the concept and Photoshop techniques. The synopsis itself sounds quite interesting with a promise of a teenage thrilling adventure; what with big and serious words like “government”, “mission”, etc thrown in. But the cover doesn’t reflect any of that at all. No sense of thrill or adventure. It seems that the designer just threw in a picture of a dog and teenager’s legs there without much thought. The font of the title and tagline is a bit of a bummer too.
I love the colour scheme of the cover, the pink is very eye catching. I like the socks Tor has on, she gives off a young and hip vibe. The dog is, of course, adorable. The story sounds unique and interesting.
