I know not what course others may take.
But as for me, give me liberty -- or give me death.
--Patrick Henry, Virginia Revolutionary Convention 1775.
Liberty, precious and profound, rides on wings of the eagle.
Any who threaten her shall suffer the swift fury of mighty talons.
--Author.
We are Ghost Eagle 1.
--Coby MacKenzie.
James Wallace lives in the Texas Hill Country with his family (which includes three teens). The author is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and The University of Texas School of Law. James Wallace began his adventure series for young adults with his acclaimed novel TSUNAMI Ghost Eagle 1, set in Hawaii. He next brings the action to the majestic Rocky Mountains in the soon-to-be-released FRYINGPAN Ghost Eagle 2. The author has visited Hawaii on multiple occasions and formerly lived in Estes Park, Colorado. He grew up loving the outdoors and the life of adventure, including spelunking, whitewater canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, and hunting and fishing. The Ghost Eagles series puts the reader in the middle of the action, on the secret special-ops team, crawling through a jungle to recon an enemy camp, rappelling off a Na Pali Coast cliff on a rainy night, scuba-diving into a shark-infested cave, hiking and hang-gliding in Aspen, and tracking bad guys. The protagonists are boys and girls ages 13 to 18. The villains are enemy agents and terrorists bent on inflicting destruction on America. The Ghost Eagles series is slated to be a 5-book series, with locales including the bayous and ante-bellum mansions of Mississipi, the exotic and voodoo-tinged Caribbean, the cave-filled Texas Hill Country, and the craggy highlands of Scotland -- all places where the author has spent time or lived.
