10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT HALLOWEEN is a celebration of all the things one child adores about the holiday, including mummy races, telling scary stories, and a neighborhood holiday parade! The story reads like a chronicle of how they spend Halloween day with plenty of festive fun.

What I loved: This is an overall cute celebration of Halloween with some events that children will recognize and enjoy. Everyone has their own traditions, so children may chime in with some of the things they love about the way they were able to celebrate the holiday. Each number is explained with some context and story, so this book will work well for slightly older picture book readers, such as preschoolers and young elementary school aged readers. The illustrations are adorable with plenty of color and festive imagery as well as diverse children and fun costumes.

The backgrounds of each page are quite colorful, but the font remains generally easy to read on all of them with key switches in color from black to white for particularly dark pages. The cover of this one is also cool with some cutouts that add to the fun.
