13 Little Blue Envelopes details the journey of seventeen-year-old Ginny. When her Aunt Peg dies of a brain tumor, she leaves in Ginnys possession thirteen envelopes, all of which she must open one at a time. Armed with a ticket to London and a list of rules, Ginny starts on an adventure across Europe, one that is reminiscent to the kind of adventures her Aunt Peg had when she was alive: one with no planning whatsoever, with only the promise of a fun-filled future.

Along the way, Ginny discovers new friends, new cities, and a new love. It is a book I truly enjoyed, and definitely not a disappointment after reading Johnsons The Key to the Golden Firebird.
