So I decided to read this book after i saw it as a "staff recommended book" at barnes and noble. So i guess someone really likes it. I, however, did not. i found the story line reaaaally slow, and the characters were very underdeveloped. The main character, for instance, a young and over protected rich kid, has no personality until quite a way into the story.

This book was so funny. Sandy, who was born and raised in a rural house next to a 'nut' house, is utterly suprised when his money hungery uncles try to steal his families fortune. When his parents, his butlers wife, and a chicken go into a coma he is desperate to help them. With his uncles still scheming to kill him he falls in love and makes new friends!
I absoultely loved this book it is so funny and so interesting I couldn't put it down! I really hope you give this book a chance!

I loooooooved Once Upon a Marigold!!

The book is about Sandy who's parents are multimillionares and they all live in this huge mansion. His two uncles, Bart and Bernie, are out to get the family fortune so they arrive at a party with a drugged-up birthday cake. Everyone eats the cake except for Sandy and the butler, Bently. The people that eat the cake are only sent into comas.

Now it's up to Sandy, Bently, and Sunny (a nurse from the loony bin next door called Walnut Manor) to save them from the comas and set Bart and Bernie in their place.

Of course there is romance and loads of comedy!! I really really really loved this book and I think you will too!

Born and raised in isolation in a wealthy, family, Sandy is shocked when he, his parents, and their servants become victims of a vicious plot by his uncles to incapacitate them and take their money.

This is a great book and I've read it too many time but it's so good that I get something new from it each time I read!
