I loved this book with all my heart. I loved how it was about rabbits, and if you think about, it happens to rabbits all around the world! Reading this book makes you think that are rabbits really pests? This story captures your heart and changes your view on rabbits lives.
I think that this book was slightly to long. Some parts were dragged out slightly, and needed to be cut down. I also sometimes found it really hard to follow the language (I think it might just be me as I'm not good at old fashioned language).
The rabbits journey reflects our lives and history. They are just like us in a way. This book will make you cry (if your softhearted), laugh, and just want to devour it as soon as possible. I understand why its a movie for children, but it would be quite difficult for younger children to follow, but everyone who thinks they are capable to read it, READ IT!

i absolutely adored this book! it is about a group of rabbits that leave on a journey. They are trying to escape death by the buldozer over their homes. some stay because they don't want to beleive the truth, but those who leave(a small handful) have to go through monumental challenges, but face them as a team. it had underlining themes and insightful paralels to our own society. it is amust read for children and adults alike.

I hate this book. We had to read this book for school and i wished it was never forced upon me. It is about this rabbit who decides to leave his home because his friend fiver tells him he had a vision that he sees people destroying it. So they set off on a journey with a few good rabits. Sound pretty good so far, well it gets bad quick. The journey to some mystical place called home was long and tedious. The book is like 300 pages long. It did have good parts. Including the story of the history of the bravest rabbit ever lived.

Watership Down remains one of my favourite book after years and years of reading it.
Richard Adams really captures the life of rabbits, and uses it in a way thats easily seen with the imagination.
Its a great book, with a great plot.
Adams's characters are memorable, and lovable.
I would definately recommend it to anybody with a love for animals.

Watership Down is a story of a warren of rabbits who learn the hardships of creating a warren. This book IS a classic, or it should be. A must read for everybody. If you already read this book there is a book called Tales from Watership Down.
