Weeks before Christmas. Alicia and Olivia are on their way to Manhattan so the Teen People editors can do a story on them about winning the Octavian Country Day uniform design contest. When Massie finally processes that the girls who hijacked her victory are also modeling for Teen People, she is livid. It should have been her. 'Ehmagod, what will everyone think when they find out it wasn't me who was asked to model? I will be SO over.' Massie decides it's time to get revenge. This snake can not lay idle in the weeds for one more second. Kristen and Dylan throw out terrible 'revenge' suggestions and Massie vetoes them all. She will think of something But first she has to go home and exfoliate. The social minefields of Westchester County's most privileged middle school girls drive the page-turning action of this addictive series, set in New York City's most elite suburban county. The Clique . . . the only thing harder than getting in is staying in.

Wow, this book makes me so glad that Im not back in middle school anymore. Shoot, looking back, Im glad I wasnt in the popular crowd. I wasnt a complete outcast (somewhere in the middle of the social hierarchy), but I didnt have that pressure of trying to maintain my status and thats what these girls are all about.

In this installment in The Clique series, Massie Block discovers that not only did Alicia and Olivia steal the Octavian Country Day School uniform design contest from her, they also have a Teen People modeling shoot scheduled! Thats more than she can take. She decides to get revenge upon Alicia. Meanwhile, Alicia is debating about starting up her own clique and getting out from underneath Massies thumb.

Readers of the series will not be shocked at the lengths to which either girl will go in solidifying their positions, from attack wall murals to sabotage. Other sub-plots include competition between Massie and Claire over a boy, and Kristen & Dylans attempts to keep their own secrets from coming out (I wont give them up; youll have to read the book to find out what theyre hiding).

Fans of the privileged chick lit genre will appreciate this backstabbing addition to the cannon. Girls aged 10 and up are definitely the primary audience and social climbers will want to take notes.

I read this book in about the 7th grade and it was really good. All the characters are so lively and unique, but at the same time they're all the same, pretty, popular girls. Its a good book for young ladies looking for a good laugh. I would definately reccomend this book for young girls.

I love this book. It has great ideas that come together to show off the creativness of the main characters. Alicia and Massie get into a huge wanna be cat fight with Alicia trying to show Massie up. Massie trying to get a friend back then being completely mean. From Claire and Cam to the 2 other girls kori and Strawberry. The other two main girls never get that much time in the book at all which I think is a mistake I think Kristen is really important to the story along with Dylan. Their secrets were told in this book and I feel that Massie was really nice about it even though people think that she is this really mean person. Though the crushes in this book are wierd I think hopefully that Lisi Harrison will show why they were the ones picked. As for now I love this book.

this was a really funny book becuase i kneew that none of that stuff would be true in real life so you could just sit back relax and let all of the fiction wash all of around you. you really felt that you were the main charachter whose name im going blank on right now, and you really were able to get wrapped up in the story and have fun.

I've been reading the books in order and this was by far one of the best so far! I can't believe how much drama these girls go through in the everday lives! Alicia definetly has the wrong idea when she decides to switch the ballet boxes at the schools fashion show. She obviessly doesn't realize what it's like to mess with Massie Block. Sure Massie is hurt by everything Alicia has done but that doesn't stop her from trying to ruin Alicia's life! The most shocking event comes at the end of the book. But you'll have to read it to find out what it is. Trust me, you'll definetly want to know what it is if your a Clique fan!!

Alicia Rivera is sick and tired of following where Massie, the head of the A-list clique, leads. Alicia wants to be known as more than "Massie Block's beautiful friend." She wants to be number one.

Of course, her ditzy, gorgeous new pal Olivia will follow her anywhere. And the girls from her dance class believe Alicia is totally It. Or are they all using her to get into Massie's group? But no, they seem to truly believe Alicia could lead them.

A shocking thought occurs to Alicia. She could have her OWN sleepovers. Sure, Massie has long claimed Friday night for her traditional sleepover parties consisting only of the four members of the inner circle. But maybe it's time for a change.

Once Alicia commits to her own sleepovers, she is filled with sick dread. She is not only challenging Massie on the sleepover front, but she's afraid Massie will discover how Alicia and Olivia cheated her out of winning a huge contest.

Sure enough, Massie calls Alicia on her defection, accusing Alicia of being an EW (eternal wannabe). Massie allows Claire to replace Alicia in the group. Massie hates Alicia. She comforts herself by obsessing about her secret crush, Cam.

As contest winners, Alicia and Olivia head off to be interviewed by Teen People, where they're asked to model. Massie is absolutely livid when she finds out. It's time for revenge --- all-out war. And these girls can get down and dirty with their double-crossing, vicious insults, blackmail, eavesdropping, enlisting of spies, lying, and even rolling-on-the-ground cat fights.

Massie's world is rocked even further when she hears shocking news about Cam. Could it be that he might not want her? Is she turning into a loser?

This third book in the Clique series continues to enthrall. Reading about Massie and her friends (and enemies) quickly becomes an addictive, guilty pleasure. So...where IS that fourth book?

I have followed the 'Clique' books very faithfully since they came out and I have to say, this one is my favorite out of all of them. So why just a 3? Because the characters are shallow.

Shallow, no depth at all. There are some instances where they reveal human feelings, but the majority of the time they are completely self-absorbed. So maybe that's the intention of the author, to make them that way, but then they could still be more three-dementional.

But the plot was good, comparitively better than the other books. The plot itself wasn't shallow, and that's what made it the best.

Why can't I put these books down then, if there are so many unsatisfactory elements to it? It is because that is how human girls are these days? They are exactly that shallow and self-absosrbed. And it is always interesting to read about yourself.

This ending was also the most satisfying and does reveal to you the human parts of these characters. And that's what made it the best one out of all the 'Clique' books.
