Good Points
I like this book a lot.It tells the journey of Cathrine before she was the TZar of Russia and the great ruler. It is pretty sad how she is treated with mother and the current TZAR

Reader reviewed by Jessica M.

I was not sure if I particularly enjoyed this book. I mean, sometimes I felt sorry for Catherine and sometimes I hated her.

The story is about Catherine the Great, before she became the Tsarina of Russia. She is my age in the book which is 14. Catherine used to live in Prussia and was called Sophie. She goes on a "great journey" to be married to her own cousin, who is quite stupid and repulsive. But, Catherine and her mother are determined that Catherine shall be the tsarina of Russia.

You see, Catherine struck me as a modern day gold-digger. She willingly agreed to marry her cousin, Peter, just so she could rule Russia. I don't recommend you to read this book highly.
