Vampire Kisses
User reviews
This is written more for a younger audience, but it's a fast paced read that is great for between books. I love the characters, and can see myself being friends with Raven and Alex.
The absolute last thing Goth-girl Raven Madison and her vampire boyfriend, Alexander Sterling, needed was another hitch in their night time only romance, but dark trouble hovers on the horizon when they discover four freshly dug graves filled with empty coffins. the also discover a crew of sketchy vampires who have taken up residence in Dullsville's lonely graveyard. Alexander finds this motley bunch led by his very own blood-sucking cousin, Claude Sterling. Shockingly, Claude and his creepy crew can only spell out more problems for the pair, especially when Raven finds them in the daylight in the very last place she could imagine. They come looking for blood filled vials hidden by Alexander's grandmother.
this book brings the classical meaning of vampires back.theres human goth girl raven whos always wanted to be a vampire the truly unique girl in the towns of dullsville.then in moves alexander sterling a vampire whos from romania who came to dullsville to hide from the vampires looking for him.raven sneaks into his house and comes to alexander.raven falls for alexander but alexander is yet to reveal hes a vampire to raven.
Vampire kisses is a romantic comedy with a goth girl named Raven who is the only goth in her hometown Dullsville. Then one day a new kid moved into the spooky house at the end of the street, his name is Alexander. Alexander came from transylvania home of the vampires.Alexander and Raven are drawn to eachother but one of then is holding a big secret.
Vampire kisses is a great romantic comedy and the relationshipp of Alexander and Raven is so fantastic it is a awesome book.
I loved this book because this girl knows what she wants and goes for it. she carries herzself with pride and is always herself. even when annoying little rich preps try to get in her way i can tell why she would want a vampire boyfriend in this book because he is describe as very handsome...... but soon aftr ythey have there romance he mysrterically disappears without a trace she trtrys with all her might to find him
As far back as she can remember, Raven Madison has been obsessed with vampires. In kindergarten, her teacher asked the class what they wanted to be when they grew up. When it was Ravens turn, she swooned, a vampire. Living in the town she aptly describes as Dullsville is not easy for someone like Raven- being that she is the only goth-girl with a love of horror movies and black lipstick. On top of that, her once cool ex-hippie parents dramatically changed after the birth of her little brother, a boy Raven endearingly nicknames Nerd Boy. She has no real friends, except for Becky, a timid farm girl from the wrong side of the tracks.
Everything changes when the
Ravens feisty wit and sharp tongue really made me enjoy this book. It is definitely geared to the pre-teen set, but can still be enjoyed by adults. The writing really began to have more meaning for me when Raven began to understand her family better, and realized that being a vampire might not be as important as being accepted and loved for who she really is. I think this is a good start to a new series and will appeal to fans who want a good vampire story without the gore.
i so loke raven she is so brave and she totally doesn't care what everybody thinks about her because she knows how she is; i wish i was like her. Alexandra is so romantic i wish i had somebody like that and even is he want to be human i would totally become a vampire for him...:)
The first book in the series is about a young girl named Raven who from the time she entered kindergarten did not fit in. She even told the teacher that she wanted to be a vampire when she grew up! Now 16, she feels alone and her only friend is another outsider named Becky. But suddenly something interesting happens in Dullsville. A vampire moves in...or is he? Raven is determined to find out. But along the way she falls for this unique boy aka Gothic Guy. Will this relationship ever work out when the whole town is against them?
This novel is very witty and funny. Raven's personality is a winner and the situations she gets into make for a great laugh out loud comedy. However the writing style is a bit thrown together and the author jumps from one event to the other. I would reccomend this book to someone out looking for a fun read, but don't expect much else from Vampire Kisses
this book was no doubt ingenious. it's a new take on vampires showing that even while being scared of them it's possible to co-exist. it's even possible to be in love. the heroine in the book, raven, is interesting to follow. she's got luck on her side when she meets her prince charming and isn't that what every girl is waiting for? a prince to sweep her off her feet? well maybe not now but in the future true love is waiting.
