Steve broke up with Rhiannon and didnt tell her why. Rumor has it hes going out with Gloria, whose hobby is stealing boyfriends. Nicole, Rhiannons best girl friend, broke up with Danny and didnt tell him why. (I wont tell you why, either.) Jessica broke up with James (Rhiannons BFF) but he knows why. Will he admit that the reason is true?

Take Me There is a great book. I didnt realize how into it I was until I discovered that I couldnt put it down and every time I did, I couldnt wait to pick it back up again.

Its written in three sectionsMay 20-23, May 24-26 and Epilog. Within each section, Rhiannon, Nicole and James, in that order, recount the daily events. Steve asked Rhiannon one day if she ever got upset by the fact that she wasnt spontaneous. So, she decided to be spontaneous in getting Steve back. Did it work?

Gloria is just plain nasty, stealing boyfriends, dissing people in front of everyone. What should the trio do about that?

Nicole has some issues to work through, including a crush on her math teacher, Mr. Farrell.

And James. I wont tell you his issues, but youll figure it out real quick.

The action takes places over a week so the book is fast paced. The action and dialogue are believable. The characters are real and you get to know them and care about them. Theyre nice guys. Weve all been dumped, so well all be able to relate to Rhiannon and Danny and James (the dumpees). The whole thing is romantic. So, if youre a softy at heart and like reading about romance, youll love Take Me There. Dont get me wrong, there are some sad parts too, but all in all, Take Me There is a happy read.

MY THOUGHTS
It took me awhile to get ended this book, but I ended up enjoying it!

This book is from the perspective of three characters: Rhiannon, Nicole, and James.
Rhiannon's boyfriend just broke up with her, without explanation, and wants him back
Nicole broke things off with her boyfriend, and is now chasing after a crush...on her math teacher.
And James has always been best friends with Rhiannon, but does he feel for more?
These characters will overcome challenges, as well as have some fun.

I read this in audiobook format while I was at work, so I basically listened to it for a few weeks. This fact made the book feel slow, but to be honest, the first part has a very slow pace. This especially worsens with the unusual formatting. You start with Rhiannon telling you what happened from her perspective in the first half of the week, then Nicole will give her perspective of the same days, then James. Then the process repeats itself for the last half of the week. It's a very interesting perspective, and I'm torn at how I feel about the same days being repeated. On one hand, it was repetitive. On the other, It added so much more depth and let me understand the lives of all the characters.

As for characters, I was meh about them at first. Rhiannon was especially irritating because of how she was hanging onto her ex-boyfriend, who is a a-hole. I was mostly upset by her moping and how I just knew that things would come back and bite her. Eventually, the characters grew on me and, in the span of only a week, they grew as well!

IN CONCLUSION
Overall, I did end up liking this book, even though it took awhile. The format is hard to get used to and the pacing was a bit slow at first, but the last half really picked up and I loved the growth of the characters. To be honest, I think I would have liked this book more if I read it in traditional form rather than audiobook, but I still liked it. This was a very realistic read and great for fans of contemporary!

Take Me There is the second book I have read from Susane
Colasanti and both were really awesome, good reads. I loved how the
book was in the three main characters' point-of-views because it made
the story very interesting to read. Even though it was in their
different perspectives in a duration of one week, the story was never
repetitive, so it wasn't ever boring to read their about their
different thoughts and actions. Also, I loved how the book ended! It
was a perfect ending and wrapped everything together pretty nicely.
Take Me There was just a fun book to read, but it wasn't the best book
ever. However, I would recommend reading it if you want a good,
enjoyable book to read. I can't wait to read Susane Colasanti's third
book Waiting For You.

"Take Me There" has a great story line. It is told in different sections. Each by a three day period and by the three main characters. (it's sounds confusing but it's really not when your reading it)
It's about a girl who just got dumped by her boyfriend for no apparent reason. Her two best friends help her out through this tough time but are also going through their own issues.

The thing that i didn't like about this book was the ending. It ended without things getting resolved. I wish that it did so that the readers could know what happened to the characters after. Although, you should really check this book out whenever you get the chance.

Recently I began reading the wonderful books by Susan Colasanti. The first book that I had read was Take Me There. I really enjoyed this book! The book is told from three narrators and each person tells the same events differently than the next. The book begins with the one of the narrators Rhiannon. She is devastated over breaking up with her boyfriend Steve. She then goes through the week realizing that she can get over him and that it may be hard to realize but, that he just is not worth her time! The next narrator is Nicole, Rhiannon's best friend. Like Rhiannon she just broke up with her boyfriend Danny. She has mixed feelings over what happened between them only there is more to it than you may think. Not only does she have to figure out what she really feels about her and Danny , she may have to look back at some things in her past that were not so wonderful. The next narrator is Danny. Danny has been best friends with Rhiannon since the 7th grade and nothing more. But, maybe there is more than "Just Friends".
I think that this book is an wonderful portly of high school and all it's ups and downs. I loved how there was a strong theme of friendship and support throughout the book! I found the book a very lighthearted read, even though it does deal with some very serious issues to. This is the perfect book read one afternoon when you're looking for a book just to suck you in and let you get lost in the story!

This story is told by 3 friends. Which is cool, but kind of upsetting because each person thells the same segment of time for about 50 pages, and by the time the third persons retelling, it gets a little repetitious because you really want to move along in the story and see whats next. Its set in an artsy school and throws in alot of really unique ideas.

But I loved this story! It was kind of creepy how i could relate to really well, and see the story happen in my own life. Three speakers are Rhiannon, Nicole, and James. Anyway, its Based around a girl named Rhiannon, and she just got dumped. And it was so random to her and she can't figure out why it happened or where to go to from here. Shes kind of the overorganized type. And she has a best friend, Nicole, who is pretty much the observer. You really want to figure her out, and whats holding her back and the story really just leaves you hanging with her. And the third character is James who is like Rhiannons other best friend and always there for her. They're togehter non stop and are extremely alike. He knows just what to do to cheer her up always.

Rhiannon has a goal of becoming more spontaneous and stepping away from her typical routines.
As every school has a girl whos main goal is to simply ruin any other girls life who seems threatening, Gloria is the storys antagonist.

Rhiannon, Nicole, and James are three friends in New York City three friends with problems. Rhiannon is having trouble getting over her recent breakup with her boyfriend Steve, and shes desperate to get him back. Nicole is also getting over a breakup, but she was the one who instigated this one. The reason for this lies rooted in Nicoles past and a secret shes not ready to reveal. James love life is pretty bland. Hes got a hot girlfriend, but that girlfriend is insanely jealous of James close friendship with Rhiannon and thus dumps him. It takes a little prompting from an elderly neighbor for James to realize who hes truly in love with. Together, these friends will battle mean girls, old demons, and find who they really love.

I loved Susane Colasantis writing style of alternate narrators in her first novel When It Happens, but in this one, I felt it was a little two much with the three narrators. It got a little confusing with three points of view of the same event occurring, especially because it was about 50 pages later. Another issue I had was that there was just a little too much going on in the novel. There were the boyfriend/girlfriend problems, the family problems, and the secrets. It was a little too much for me. However, even though there were a couple aspects of the novel I disliked, I loved the rest of it. The characterization of each friend is excellent, and I really felt I got to know Rhiannon, Nicole, and James. They each have a unique story, all of which I loved. Susane Colasanti has a way of weaving each of their stories together to create this fantastic novel.

Although I liked When It Happens better, I still loved Take Me There. Anyone who wants to read about perfect true love should definitely read Susane Colasantis novels and also look out for her upcoming novel, Waiting For You.

Ree has just been dumped, by the boy who promised to love her forever, for no apparent reason. Nicole tells her boyfriend that they need to break up because she's secretly secretly 'in love' with someone else. James can't figure out why it bothers him so much that Ree is so determined to win her ex back. Add all of this to the everyday drama and demands of high school and follow these three friends through one life altering week. Hearts will be broken and secrets will be revealed. Can the friends find happily ever after?

In Susane Colasanti's second novel you're pulled into the minds of three close friends just trying to make it happen for themselves. Set in busy NYC these three teens deal with both their personal problems and those of their friends. This book definitely explores some deeper concepts than When it Happens. Hints of abuse and rape are part of the story but Susane keeps it from being depressing by adding her usual humor.

The book is split into two parts with each of the three characters getting a chance to speak twice. The first half uses the three friends perspectives to lay out all of the problems at hand, both with in the immediate group and out. The second half was all about the realization that the problems, while not all together gone, weren't as big as they thought they were. Again Susane used different fonts to distinguish characters voices and her dialogue was still flawless. Another amazing novel from Susane Colasanti!

Rhianon has just been dumped by her boyfriend for no apparent reason. She is beyond devastated. She just doesn't understand why Steve would just break up with her. The worst part is she wants Steve back, but it seems he doesn't feel the same way about Rhianon.

Nicole is her own kind of person. No one's like her, but they all admire her. She has just dumped her boyfriend and only she knows why. Danny was the sweetest boy that Nicole had ever met, but then things started getting too serious for her and she just had to end it. Quickly moving on she soon has a new crush.

James is a computer geek who's Rhianon's best friend....but he so wishes it were more. His best friend just happens to be the same Danny that Nicole just dumped, and he knows that Danny still wants Nicole back.

Set during one hectic week of these three friend's lives, Take Me There is the ultimate teen novel. What starts as a horrible week, ends up turning into one heck of a roller coaster ride. Told from all three people's perspective we learn all of the dastardly deeds and heartbreaking moments each character experiences.

This was one of the cutest books I've ever read. Each part of the story was told three times, but by a different character which made the book really interesting. It also allowed the reader to learn secrets about the other characters and made previous events that had happened make sense. This was the first time I've ever read a book told like this, and I loved it. I also really enjoyed how all the characters seemed so real. Nicole is the best friend who will always help you up when your down, but will never accept your help, and Rhianon is the smart organized, super nice girl in all of your classes. As for James, I totally have a crush on him. He seems like the sweetest guy who any girl would die to have. There is nothing that I didn't like about this book, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good, heartwarming read. I definitely look forward to ready more of Susane Colasanti's novels.
