In this true story of a young girl's trip into the modeling business, Cheryl Diamond recounts what happened to her through this trip. Truly meeting some of the funniest characters, but facing real challenges that force the whole models-don't-do-anything look off the reader's faces bring you to realize that the truth is hidden from all of us when we see these pictures in the magazines.

With a creative and enjoyable voice, Cheryl Diamond brings the character of herself as a young girl in the industry, the story is comedic as well as serious, with a great mixture of the two. This easy read with characters that are sure to die for was amazing and unforgettable.

Cheryl Diamond, a fourteen teenager, who is aspired to become a supermodel. Whether she makes it or not is up to her. At age fourteen, she went and lived on her own, with her parents permission of course, while spending her days on go-sees, runways and photo shoots. Every day, she would travel from New Jersey to the photo shoots in New York City. As she watched other girls starve themselves and make numerous of mistakes, she swore to herself that she would not be a victim. However, a career threatening event occurs and she finds herself out of jobs. This book is a true story of Cheryl Diamonds life where she makes a comeback in one of the hottest and most demanding industries in the world.
This book is amazing and extremely interesting especially since it is a memoir. I usually am not interested in true stories and so I stay away from them, however, this book is truly amazing. It gives detail accounts on the hottest industry in the world. It talks about a girl, Cheryl Diamond, who manages to get into the top modeling shoots at only twenty years old. Currently, she is a high-fashion model in New York and has walked in NYC Fashion Week as well as modeling for LOreal, Clairol and Armani. I highly recommend this book to those who want to see how the modeling industry works.
