Sister Slam and the Poetic Motormouth Road Trip

This book was so much fun to read. It's written in poetry style, or poetry slam style, by Laura who just graduated high school. Laura is overweight and anxious to get out of her town and experience life through a poetry slam being held. She and her best friend, Twig, go to the slam, get into all sorts of predicaments and come out of it with a bit more understanding of themselves. The way this book rhymes is witty and I flew through the pages, enjoying all of it. I definatley recommend this book.
