World-building in the book is good. The pace, however, is pretty slow. Also, the story repeatedly goes back and forth on the time and it gets confusing whether Syl is talking about the present or the past
I wish I had a pegasus.

My love for Robin's work is higher than ever. PEGASUS is beautiful, with amazing prose and thoughtful worldbuilding. I feel like I've been there. The friendship between Sylvi and Ebon still makes my heart go pitter patter, even months after finishing.
As has been noted elsewhere, this book is only the first half. Much like LotR, it leaves off in a less than ideal situation for the characters.
If you liked THE BLUE SWORD and the level of worldbuilding in SUNSHINE, PEGASUS will not disappoint.
