The Fallen Star is a book that will make you want to carry on reading. Its about a girl called Gemma who has never felt any emotion for anything, until on one day she randomly starts to cry. From then on she meets Alex and Aislin who knows more about Gemma than she does. Can Gemma trust the people who want to protect the girl who has nightmares about horrible monsters? Alex knows more than Gemma can imagine, but when she falls for him things get tricky. How can you fall for someone that you don't trust? When Gemma, Alex and Aislin meet Laylen and Nicholas, no one knows what they will do if they don't survive. How will they survive? A brilliant first book in the Fallen Star series, written by Jessica Sorensen.

The story of Gemma, a teen girl, who for her entire life has been unemotional until she becomes eighteen. She soon meets Aislin & Alex who want to protect her since she is far more important than she thought. There is a deep chain of secrets she uncovers. Alex knows things but can he be trusted even when Gemma feels drawn to him?Then there is Laylen a vampire. But Nicholas who is half-faerie. A searing first book in the Fallen Star series. It's a hugely-thrilling paranormal read.
