It’s a big job when a big brother gets to take his little sister home from school for the very first time. In debut author-illustrator Maple Lam’s charming story, she celebrates the incredible relationship between a little boy and his younger sister. Similar to books like I’m a Big Brother by Joana Cole and What Brothers Do Best by Laura Numeroff, this book is perfect to read with both older and younger siblings, as well as with youngsters getting ready for back-to-school!

What an adorable story! I read this to two young sisters that I babysit and they really enjoyed it. It was cute and the illustrations and characters had the girls giggling as it went along.

I think this story will be especially liked by siblings because it is something they can really resonate with. It really looks at the typical behaviors in a sibling relationship, especially the sort of misunderstandings they can have as they grow.

The story was also easy to follow and the girls I read it to could clearly understand it, which can sometimes be hard at their young age! They could connect with the characters and found it funny when the younger sister was being mischievous :)

The colorful and cute illustrations are definitely ones that will keep the little ones entertained! The story also is great for all kids, but will especially resonate with siblings. So overall, a great read for all younger ones!
