Death was only the beginning . . .

No one's afterlife is as depressing as Audrey's--at least that's what she believes after waking up dead with a wicked case of amnesia and being immediately assigned to hunt demons for the rest of eternity.

She's convinced God's made a cosmic mistake; after all, she'd rather discuss the color of her nails than break them on angelic weapons. It's hard not to feel lacking when everyone around you is a natural and you can't even remember the people you are supposed to be mourning. It doesn't help that her trainer, Logan, is as infuriating as he is attractive. Vacillating between wanting to throat punch or kiss him is certainly vexing.

But despite her sub-par fighting abilities, an ancient weapon of unparalleled power chooses Audrey as its wielder, attracting the cautious gazes of her fellow hunters and the attention of Satan himself. With Satan's eyes now fixed on Audrey, a battle for the safety of the living looms in the shadows.

When revelations about Audrey's past are discovered, will she have the strength to fulfill her purpose, or succumb to the darkness waiting to pull her under?

Huntress is a young adult novel set in the afterlife. It was a captivating, interesting and adventurous novel. It had a lot of mystery that made me excited to know what happens next!

Huntress tells the story of Audrey's afterlife and how she must learn to adjust to it. Audrey was an interesting character to read especially since she couldn't remember her life on earth.

There were also some great characters in Huntress like Ramona, Logan and Kevin that I desperately wanted to know so much more about!

I enjoyed reading Huntress and think that fans of the afterlife and fantasy would enjoy it too!

HUNTRESS (Life After Book 1)
"With fantastic world-building, Julie Hall has created an interesting and desirable afterlife. I love the unique take on angels, demons, and the life after death. Characters are likeable: Audrey, flawed and confused, but also filled with untapped strength; Logan, strong and swoon-worthy. Romance is sweet, mysterious, frustrating, and perfect. Enough action and mystery to keep me flipping the pages. Can't wait for Book Two."
-Jaymin Eve, author of The Walker Saga and Supernatural Prison series

"Beautifully creative! Julie Hall expertly weaves an action-packed plot and swoon-worthy romance with powerful, heartfelt themes of love, family, forgiveness, and redemption. Huntress will have you contemplating your own afterlife while holding your breath and falling in love. I can't wait for the sequel!"
-Kelly Oram, author of The Supernaturals series

"In Audrey, Julie Hall has given readers a heroine who is strong, vulnerable, and relatable. And she has set her in a world so imaginative and exciting that I can't help but want to be there. This book creates a safe place to ask questions, but also shows us we will not always get the answers we want. The adventure is in moving ahead, in faith, even without them.
-Catherine Parks, author of A Christ-Centered Wedding

"Huntress is absolutely charming, imaginative, and sweet. It is a fast-paced, original, and intriguing story. I hope it’s a series because I can’t wait to see what happens next.
-Susan Elllingburg, senior writer for Women Of Faith

"Not since Frank Peretti has an author had the writing genius to weave together spiritual and physical worlds into a believable epic journey. Julie Hall is destined to be one of the great fiction writers of our time. Her first work will keep young adults riveted, expanding their sense of wonder and challenging them to think about forces and powers beyond what they can see.
-Rebecca Hagelin, columnist with The Washington Times; author of 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family
