After moving to a challenging new home situation, grieving fifteen-year-old Jayne finds her father’s science journal and reads it. The hand written theories seem prophetic and comforting as they begin to mirror the circumstances unfolding in her life, including a chance encounter with Jonah, another science nerd who may guide Jayne through her grief. But is Jayne willing to betray the lessons in the journal when they no longer align with what she wants the advice to say? How can she decide if she is outrunning her new destiny or defying some wish that her dead parents are conveying from the other side? Only Jayne can decide if new love is the right reason to risk losing everything she's ever known from her life before.
