This is a wonderful book full of information on different heavyweight modes of transportation!

Featuring sixteen categories of large vehicles, from construction vehicles to limos, monster trucks, ships, military helicopters, and rockets, it seems every colossal vehicle was included!

With the oversized pages, the illustrations have a lot of detail along with room for factual descriptions. Colossal is aimed at children 5 and up, but even younger children will enjoy looking at the colorful spreads throughout!

There is so much information packed into this book, some may find it overwhelming. My 7 year old lost interest with the words and instead enjoyed dissecting the images. However, my 10 year old loved everything about Colossal: Heavyweights of the Vehicle Universe, letting me know all that he has learned with every page.
I enjoyed the different comparisons and facts the author shared with us. Did you know that the world's largest working Jeep replica weighs in at 8,800 pounds, which is as heavy as four cars? Or that each container on a train weights about as much five elephants!?

The paper is extra thick, holding up well to multiple page flips. A must for children thrilled to learn about these heavyweight machines.

Colossal would make a wonderful addition to any transportation enthusiasts' shelf!
