inspirational activity book for Halloween-themed LEGO game builds!

THE LEGO HALLOWEEN GAMES BOOK is a delightful activity book that inspires children to create their own Halloween-themed games using LEGO. The book includes plenty of illustrations, tips, and how-tos throughout with some jokes and fun along the way. It also includes 40 small LEGO pieces to add to those children may already have and promote the Halloween theme, such as bones, cauldron, and pumpkin boxes.

What I loved: This is such a fantastic book to look through and inspire creativity! For children who have bins of random LEGO bricks, this will set them off on a journey of building – specifically for games using their pieces. A particular favorite in our house was the idea for a spinner using LEGO pieces. This is all complimented with the Halloween theme that comes across through every page. Every page is in full color with plenty of detail for children to copy (or just be inspired) by the designs within. I loved the little asides from the LEGO characters throughout that added extra fun and humor as well.

The pieces that come with the book will help if you don’t have much Halloween-y LEGO already, and these definitely helped with the atmosphere of the random bricks that we already had. The bones in particular were a nice touch! Pages with some key instructions and information were also very helpful in assembling some of the inspired designs in the book, and these were easy to follow once the pieces were located.

What left me wanting more: The only thing I would love is to be able to get kits for some of these designs – there are some seriously cool things in there, and I love the inspiration of turning LEGO builds into games!

Final verdict: THE LEGO HALLOWEEN GAMES BOOK is a delightful activity book that is sure to inspire some spooky season creativity! Highly recommend picking this up for older elementary age children and/or anyone who loves LEGO!
