I'm a high school student studying this book for English. I'm an avid reader, and love reading. I'll read anything but romance and horror. I was intrigued by the blurb on the book, but when I started reading the book, I found it distinctly boring. I was tempted to leave it, but unfortunately my English teacher would not compromise on that front.
Having read the book (twice) I can safely say that it is one of the more terrible I've read. In fact, it is easily the worst book I have ever read. The characters are exaggerated, grey and unlikable - the hero, Carl Matt, is an overweight boy who does not have a strong personality. My English teacher goes on about how he is sensitive, but I honestly cannot see how that is the case. He is a fat boy who pervs on girls.
