A bridge to Wiseman's cove is an amazing book about alot of issues:For e.g.

It is about a 15 year old goes to live with his aunt in the event of his mother and sister abandoning him.

It is about a boy coming to terms with himself and his family.

It is the story of a family coming together.

It is about a teenager trying to establish his identity or overcome fears of the past.

It is story about a really slack mum!

It deals with alot of issues such as alcoholism, child abuse, family issues, gambling, survival, adolescence and freedom.

This book was a good book to study in school...I know lots of people might not like it but it does deal with issues that most teenages go though.

In the book Carl goes though many differnt changes, like many teenages at that time. He gains self confidence and learns what it is like to have lost, loved and to have friends.

This book makes you feel like you know Carl and the other chararcters in this novel, you feel their hatred, their sadness, their hope and their happiness with every page you read.

I thought A Bridge to Wiseman's Cove was a really good book. I don't normally like reading... in fact... I hate it! But, this is one of the only books ever that I have enjoyed.... ESPECIALLY for school.

James Moloney has done a great job wirting this book... I recommened you should read it.

In my opinion I thought this book was wounderful. It showed such compasion in the writing. As i got to the end I couldn't read much more because I didn't want the book to end.
This was such a beautiful story.

what a great book it was! I had to read ABTWC for my yearly english exam. i thought this book had very interesting and good descriptions of the characters, place and other object. I could just picture the story in my mind, i almost felt that i was the main character in the novel. The best bit was when carl fought against his aunt beryl and their was no worst bit. I liked carl best out of all the characters in this novel because i liked about him winning against everything with determination, love and bit of help.

Only way to find about rest of the nivel is to read it yourself!

If you have come to this site, it means you are interested in what other people thought of A Bridge to Wiseman's Cove. I'm 13, and we had to read it for English for this term's book study. ABTWC happens to be a book I have read before in leisure time, and I enjoyed it very much. My english teacher gets us to read a chapter out loud and then to explain to the class what it's about, and how we feel about it, and this book is not difficult to read- no ridiculously long words or descriptions, and is easy to follw but what it does contain, however, are plenty of very powerful metaphors which capture the mood perfectly, in easy but strong language. This novel contains many much-talked about themes, bt in a much more personal and more descriptive way. Some of the people I know didn't like the book because of the 'strong' language in it, but that's just one of the things which makes this book so truthful and raw with emotion.

This book is suitable for any one over the age of 12, right up to 150 year olds. Read it if you get the chance. Even if you don't particularly enjoy reading it, you'll come away with a new sense of understanding for all types of situations.
