A Long Way from You by Gwendolyn Heasley was an all around cute contemporary read. I was excited to see some of the characters back from Where I Belong as A Long Way from You follows Kitsy's adventures through New York City.

I love Kitsy - she is just so spunky and fun and really, a character I see a bit of myself in. I also love the opportunities she is handed and everything she experiences! How cool! Iona was a character who really grew on me as the book went on - I absolutely loved her by the end! I also loved how Corrinne wasn't necessary there in the book, but you still heard from her throughout Kitsy and her's emails back and forth.

The big thing about A Long Way from You that I loved is just that Kitsy is going out to try to achieve her dreams. Yes, she has her reservations but she goes for it anyways. I just admire that strength and ambition and that was one of the best parts about the book. I loved seeing her escapades throughout New York - it was just so fun!

A Long Way from You by Gwendolyn Heasley was the perfect summer read - light hearted, fun, and a bit of adventure. Gwendolyn Heasley is an author to watch, especially for those who love contemporary!
