I have to be honest - I didn't remember much of anything from Across the Universe when I started AMS. I read so much and so quickly that details tend to get lost, especially when I have to wait a long time. But I can happily say that if you're like me and don't retain plot that well over several months, you can still pick this book up and not be too lost. Revis does a really great job at gently reminding you of all the little (or not so little) tidbits you'd forgotten. By the end of AMS I felt like I could have reliably described the plot of AtU to a non-reader, and do a better job than "there's these two people on a space ship..."
Another thing I really enjoyed about AMS was all the plot twists. This is Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys all grown up, where the bad guys aren't ever who we think they are, and the wrong thing looks an awful lot like the right thing in bad lighting. Oh and there's the added bonus of "HOLY CRAP we're in space." Plus, and this was my favorite part, when the major twist was finally revealed I found myself rereading 2 or 3 times to make sure I'd read it right. I did NOT see it coming in the slightest!

All in all this was a great read, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the end!
Good Points
Easy to get in to even without remembering Across the Universe.
Tackles important, relevant issues.
Really good twists I didn't see coming.

This book was sooo good! The writing and plot were just as excellent as the first book. It goes much deeper than just telling a story, Beth Revis successfully portrays the character's emotions and human nature. I couldn't believe the secrets Amy and Elder discover and cannot wait for the final book! SOOO EXCITED!
Good Points
Really well written, it is very easy to connect to and the characters seem to come to life.
The story was just as good as the first and the secrets and surprises just keep coming!

I loved this book and was counting down the days untill the book came out. It was as amazing as the first book was.
The story continuned with Amy and Elder still abord the ship and A Million Suns started three months after the end of the first book. Lies are still abord the ship as there were in the first book.

I dont think that the book could not have gotton any better and I have nothing bad to say about the book. But, the only downside is waiting for the next book to come out.
