This is my favorite book in the whole series. I like the idea of the Baudelaires being in a school enviroment!
Good Points
The good points in this novel is how there is always something happening, there are no parts in the book that are boring. I love how Snicket comes up with all these random ideas, the big reason that I think this is the best book in the series is because they meet the Quagmires and Violet and Klaus really get to show their skills in research and inventing.

This is the fifth book in A Series of Unfortunate Events. In this book the Baudelaire children are attending Prufrock Prep, which is a boarding- type school.

This book is silly, but not in a bad way. The vice principal is arrogant and selfish, making all the children at his school attend a concert, every day, where he plays the violin badly. Violet, Klaus and Sunny (the Baudelaire children), must also sleep in a shack, because they are orphans and do not have permission from their guardians to sleep anywhere else. Even more than the previous books the reader will go "That would not really happen", but it's one of the reasons why this series is so fun. If the children just attended a "normal" boarding school, the book would be boring and over done. However, Snicket (the author), has made this boarding school a unique, imaginative and fun one. Those are the reasons as to why I liked this book.

This book is written with the same premise as the first 4 books but it has changed from the first 3 and the last one because the Baudelaire orphans aren't sent to a relative's house but to a Prep school. For a while in this one things aren't so bad but they turn for the worse and just keep getting worse and worse from then on. Like the first 4 books this is a quick read and a fun one at that.

Things might be looking up for the Baudelaire orphans as they enter the Prufrock Preparatory School, but they're not. To give away details would spoil the story, but I will say that this addition to the series keeps the favorite storylines and at the same times adds enough new events to keep the reader interested. Violet invents, Klaus reads, Sunny bites, and their new friends, Isadora and Duncan, do their best to help the orphans. But will it be enough to save them all?

I really do enjoy the whole series but sometimes they get SO boring. Most of the time you can definitly guess what was going to happen and I'd be right. But i'm just finally got the Slippery Slope checked out (but I own the Green Grotto. What sense does that make??) and I'm in the exact middle and it's a LOT better than all if you ask me but still. I would have to give these a book an okay. Sorry for wasting one minute out of you time to read a stupid Lil 13 year-olds opinion but hey, if it meant taking time of you life to do/read some thing stupid than you're so cool. Toodles -Kay M.

The Australian Academy was a nice book. After reading it I was thankful my parents were alive! I don't know what I'd do without them!
Anyways, mainely this book is about how these three children,(Sunny, Claus, and Violet)once again had to move from one place to another after their parents' deaths. For an evil man,Count Olaf is after their fortune and the Bauldenier children do whatever they can to keep out of his cluches and stay a live!
This book is fabulas! It shows how you have to be smart, quick, and sometimes have to have a little bit of help from your siblings, to get yourselves out of trouble!
