Sam and Jules have been best friends since they were nine, brought together by dancing. Now they are sixteen and still dancing, but with the troubles of school, guys and family with them. Jules hasn't been feeling good for some time and when she is diagnosed with cancer, her whole world is turned upside down. Jules goes to place where Sam can't follow her, and the two gradually start to pull apart. After having chemo, Jules is feeling strong enough to dance again and Sam and Jules get back their freindship. Then Jules learns that the cancer hasn't gone away, and she knows that she will die. Sam and Jules spend precious last minutes together, efore Sam is to go away on tour with the dance company. Just as they are about to board the plane, Sam gets the news that Jules has gone into a coma and will not wake up. Sam gets to the hospital in time to say goodbye to her one and only, before Jules dies. I loved this book so much, because it was really touching and really explored all the emotions people can feel. There was an especially big emotional climax when Sam finally lets Jules go, and i cried it was so powerful.
