I read this book to my four year old daughter, and she absolutely loved it. Each page has a simple sentence about birds (The sentence is given in both English and Spanish, which is great for bilingual families or families who love to expose their children to other languages.), a beautiful illustration of a bird to go along with the sentence and a caption next to the illustration to tell us what specific bird we're looking at. The afterword provides more in-depth information for each of the sentences/illustrations throughout the book so that older readers can explore more of what the world of birds has to offer. There is also a glossary.

This is a book that can be used and enjoyed by very young readers up through grade school readers. There are multiple learning opportunities all presented with lovely, engaging illustrations. I highly recommend this for classroom libraries, home school parents, and families who enjoy learning new things.
