Everything you've ever wanted to know about small furry mammals - and then some! - all contained in an easy to follow, beautifully illustrated picture book! Another in the fabulous "About" series, ABOUT RODENTS is delightful and informative.

With information about over 20 of the world's rodents, readers will take away a wealth of knowledge about a variety of fuzzy creatures. From the tiny Eurasian Harvest Mouse to the gigantic Capybara, there are rodents of all shapes and sizes that live all around the globe.

Each page features a gorgeous illustration of one or more animals, with a very short, single line of text about that animal, setting, or habitat. More in depth information can be found in the back of the book. In this way ABOUT RODENTS can be read like a story book or used as a reference guide. The illustrations themselves are beautiful, detailed, and imaginative. They bring to mind Audubon's bird paintings, and will captivate readers of all ages.

As a nonfiction picture book, it is fantastic in every way! I highly recommend ABOUT RODENTS for all libraries and schools, as well as for young readers who love animals.
