This is a cute story filled with quite a few life lessons such as overcoming your fears, giving others the benefit of the doubt and treating people with disabilities the way we'd like to be treated. It's broken into chapters, making it easy for young readers to work their way through the book without feeling overwhelmed.

The adults are good role models and treat the children with age appropriate respect. Lucy, the beagle plays a starring role while continuing to add lots of excitement and fun to Bobby's life as well as everyone she meets!

This is the 5th book in the "Absolutely Lucy" series but it can be read as a stand alone.
