ANIMALS ILLUSTRATED: RAVEN educates children on the habits and makeup of the mysterious raven. We learn about things like where they live, what they eat, and how they communicate. Each section is packed with facts along with a beautiful picture of ravens and the landscapes they reside in.
The illustrations are stunning with their attention to detail and deep shading, and there's even a two-page spread of the skeleton of a raven. I've always been fascinated by ravens and this author paints them in an intriguing light. Children who love animals and nature will enjoy learning more about the creatures that inhabit the earth with this series. The only thing I wish were different is the text reads a bit choppy in some places, but it still holds interest and provides fascinating facts.
Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged six and older who like to learn about animals or for those who enjoy bird-watching as well. It'll definitely make children look at ravens differently.
