Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, is about a girl Margaret who moves to a new neighborhood just when she's starting her teenage years. In her home neighborhood, she becomes friends with other girls, and together, they create a club. In the club, the girls talk about various things, such as boyfriends and periods. Margaret's own questions about her religion and identity sprinkle the story.

This story, I believe, accurately describes what teenage girls go through and feel. It brings up the issue of religion, and friendship, and even the changes that happen to us teens. A recommended story for girls everywhere.
