Author Mary Cope hit it out of the park with good character development paired with a believable story. I got this as an "extra" book for a recent trip and kept finding myself reaching for it first. The story unexpectedly gripped me in a way that made me want to find out what happened next. It is safe enough to hand to your teenager yet will keep an older adult entertained as well.
