I would definately recomend this book for anybody especially dog lovers!

I read this and loved it! It was a great book because, it told of a friendship between a girl and her friends not only human friends but also her friend who happened to be a dog, Winn-Dixie.

If you love dogs then you'll definately LOVE this smileing dog!

I first read this book like when i was six or seven and I found it very heartwarming and it was also understandable. I still like reading books like this nd I believe the character of Inida opal Buloni, or however you spell it, is very amazing. By the way, i wonder how she got a name like that? Maybe it is in the book, i read it a long time ago. So anyways, I would recommend this book to others and i also want to recommend a book called ELLA ENCHANTED, check it out yourself.

I like this author. She seems to be able to connect well with her audience. Her books are simply made to read aloud with her vibrant characters and quick plots. Because of Winn Dixie is no exception to this. I think this book especially connects the reader into the life of a lonely girl who has been abandoned by her mother and has moved to a new town. The story is touching, and the movie wasn't a bad adaptation of the book either.
