Blackhearts was a really intriguing novel. I was drawn to the concept of reading about the early life of Blackbeard and it was not disappointing!

It was really interesting to imagine what could have been Edward Teach's early life before he became the infamous Blackbeard. And the idea that his ship was named after Anne Barrett was also a nice touch.

I loved the captivating plot and the characters. Anne and Edward were really fascinating and drew me in right from the start. And reading more about this era was also enlightening.

A really great novel that has me reaching for the follow up immediately!
