The book Blubber by Judy Blume was a funny and entertaining novel. The main character, Jill Brenner, finds herself thinking about Halloween while shy Linda Fischer presents a project about whales and their blubber. Jill decides to shock everyone with her Halloween costume inspired by Linda's presentation. Jill and her friends, Caroline and Wendy, call Linda malicious names, including Blubber. Word spreads around of Linda's new nickname, and Jill tries to defend Linda when the bullying goes too far. She then learns her lesson about bullying as she finds herself in a similar situation. While this book is banned for evil behavior and inappropriate language, it should be read by all fifth graders and those at that reading level with the mindset that this book is teaching them lessons of how not to treat others.
Gr8 i guess not so much though

Well, i guess this book was okay, since it talked about how kids get teased and stuff and then when the teasers friends tease the teaser the teaser gets revenge on her by not being their friends and becoming friends with the teased in order to make the friend look sad and then the teaser's other friend gets mad cuz the teaser starts hanging out a lot with the teased an the teaser's old friends points that out leaing the teaser with no friends. There is a reason I made that confusing, so I wont spoil the book. Have fun!

i found this book to be really funny.most people probably don't think it is funny though.i love how the book is really like most elementary schools that i have been in.i think you should read it just to see if it is like your school.

its about this girl who looks different from all the other girls in her fifth grade class because she's very tall and already wears a bra. she is made fun of and picked on. then she makes a friend.
this was a ok book but i guess it could have been better for what it's worth, id recommend it to female 5graders

When I read this book, I in third grade. The whole time I was thinking to myself "OH MY GOSH!! SHE SAID THE D-WORD!" Since I was only eight, I couldn't believe that books had swear words in it. I don't remember much about the book, because of how long ago I read it, but I just remember the swearing lol
