Do You Know?: Boats is full to the brim with fun illustrations, nautical vocabulary, and riveting information!
The illustrations are charming and lively, capturing the attention of younger children easily.
They don't, however, match the amount of detailed information in this pretty dense read, sending mixed signals on the target audience.
My five-year-old and I took breaks while reading, as it is a lot of information for him to listen to for one period of time. He had more fun flipping through the pages until certain illustrations caught his attention and reading its passage.
I did enjoy the attention to detail, though! From how boats/ships are made, to how and why they sink, as well as ways to keep yourself safe and interesting history facts. This would make a great addition to a younger water vessel lover's shelf!
