Breaking Dawn is an amazing accomplishment for Stephanie Meyer. I can't believe how well the characters are developed in this final book to the Twilight series. I also must commend the author on writing a series that spurs young adults to read read read. I find it refreshing and am impressed by the lack of vulgarity and language that I find in many Young Adult Fiction books. It was nice to read one with conflict and teenage issues that wasn't vulgar or offensive.

I loved this book even thought it let me so thirsty for more because it was really good, Edward and Bella merry and she gets pregnant. She becomes a vampire and her daughter is named Renesmee. She is such a wonderful child that you simply want o know more about her. Edward and Bella will have to do many things with the help of his family and friends to show that Nessie (Rennesmee) is not an immortal child and that shes not dangerous. I loved the book it my favorite even thought it let me thisrty to know more about Nessie and her parents.

First off, you must understand that I am IN LOVE with the twilight series. I am a Twi-Hard, if you will. I waited for this novel to come out for almost a year, and I was not happy with the result. True I felt that Bella becoming a vampire was amazing, and Jacob falling for Reneesme was halarious I could not grasp the ending. Everybody was waiting for a wonderful battle, or even a hint at what Reneesme would be like if she was older. The book was nice, but to me it felt like I was hanging off a cliff.

if i summarize breaking dawn, i wouldnt end. so basically what happend is bellad and edward gets married and then off to Isle Esme for their honeymoon. There, Bella soon discover that she was pregnant and this shocked and scared Edward. They come home to Forks really early to get checked by Carlisle, Edward's father. She gets really sick by carrying this powerful baby so they tld her dad that she got a disease where they came from and she needs to be quarantined. JAcob also knew so he was outraged and the werewolves thought tht this baby would be a great harm to evryone. this also when bella becomes a vampire because edward turned her into one after she gave birth to renesmee and she was dying. The volturis discover that this had happened and they decided to go after the cullens to kill that baby because them, too, thoguht that this baby was a threat. but the cullens gathered every vampire coven in the world they knew to be witnesses that this child was not a threat. there was no action in this book so the end was kinda boring. the voltuirs came and they believed that the baby is not harmful. (they talked for hours 0___0) the end was very happy and joyful because bella also has a special ability. this ability could block other vampires who have a special ability. at then end he reverses her ability so edward could read her mind!

this is the last book of the twilight saga. i hope stephenie still writes! =O
anyways, this book is awesome. some people did not like it. they complain too much. but overall it was awesome and well written.

Aside from the classic "Dracula" novel by Bram Stoker, I don't believe that I was ever interested in reading stories about vampires or anything too supernatural. However, due to the persistent recommendations from a few friends, I got hooked on to the Twilight series a few weeks ago. In that short time, I read all Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse in a week's time. That was then quickly followed with reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Needless to say, I became a fan of her writing. As for Breaking Dawn, I have to say that I was a bit surprised by the reading material. Compared to the first three books in the series, parts of it seemed more targeted for an older teen audience. I don't like spoiling books for people, so I'm just going to say that although Meyer did a pretty good job at not writing the obvious scenes, I still do worry about the younger readers. So, I know that my "review" may be contradictive at some parts. But my trouble with this particular book is that I love Meyer's writing. I love the first three books. As for Breaking Dawn, even though I couldn't stop turning the pages, I see that she's failed to continue the spectacular writing from before. Some of the ideas of the book, though well-intentioned, were too hard to accept. I know I said that I won't include spoilers, so if you don't want to continue reading, don't go to to the LJ cut here:

Basically, I don't like how Jacob imprints with Nessie. In fact, I think naming the kid Renesme Carlie is kind of pushing the naming thing. I don't like the whole TomKat name for celebrities. It's just really weird how after all the debate of Team Edward and Team Jacob, Jacob would end up imprinting with Bella's daughter. After Jacob admits to wanting Bella in a sexual way, he falls for her daughter. I'm wondering if Meyer has perhaps felt the pressure of the fame and the need to provide a happy ever after, and faulted here.

But besides that, I think that Twilight fans would not be disappointed in the last book to the series. I haven't decided how I feel about the section of the novel which was through Jacob's point of view. After reading 3 novels of everything from Bella's perspective, it definitely was a change of pace. Meyer did a good job with the narrative writing, which makes me more eager to reading Twilight from Edward's eyes. I am definitely looking forward to reading Midnight Sun and hopefully she'll come out with a sequel to The Host.

There are so many things I can say about this book, so many ways I can describe my feeling towards it. Confused. Shocked. Repulsed. Relieved. Angry. Excited. Detached. Satisfied.

As Mr. Krabs put it: Ive never felt such a strange combination of pity, and indigestion.

Just a very strange mix of all that.

Things werent so distressing when the book started out. The wedding was done very well. In fact, I think it was pretty perfect. Throw in a little Jake action to spice things up. Very well done. The honeymoon then hit. Even though Bella was a liiiittle too horny (as was to be expected), the honeymoon was handled well, too. They had to do it sometime. And Bella couldnt go unscathed now, could she?

Then Bella got pregnant. And thats when the mood started to change, for me anyway. Firstly, and Ive said this before: VAMPIRES CAN IMPREGNATE PEOPLE?!?! That was my main reaction. I didnt think they...erhm&had sperm&and Im guess its his venom that did it, but I truly did not think in a million years that vampires could produce any living thing. I always felt that nothing inside them was really alive (this is me talking about the sperm again).

After getting past that, we move on to Jacobs point of view. Initial reaction? Awwww sheit, I have to read this for another 250 pages?!?!?! Getting down to it though, I loved Jacobs point of view. Probably a hell of a lot better than Bellas at the time anyway. I loved the pack interaction. I love Seth. And Leah started to grow on me.

What really bothered me was that demonchild Bella was spawning. Sure sure, she turned out to be adorable, intelligent, and kind, but I still hated the fact that Bella kept holding onto that thing, and even worse, Rosalie backing her one hundred percent, possibly risking Bellas life and pissing everybody off in the process. Worse than the even worse, this was all putting Edward through so much pain; reading about it was unbearable. It was like Bella in New Moonit even hurt me just reading it.

The delivery of the demonchild was truly disgusting. Can you imagine that in the movie? It felt like torture&like the Saw movies or something. She was just getting more and more mutilated. Truly disturbing visual. But then Edward saves her.

Aaaaaandd Bellas a vampire! This is what Ive been waiting for. Finally we get to see a not-so-breakable Bellasomeone who could beat Emmett at arm-wrestling, potentially win a footrace against Edward, move as gracefully as Alice, and be as beautiful as Rosalie. The whole newborn vampire learning experience was probably my favorite part. (Just make me forget about Renesmee and Im good. 8-))

And I thought Hugo and Rose were bad. Sorry Stephenie, but Renesmee is definitely topping my list of all time worst fictional childrens names. :)

And contrary to what a lot of people have been saying, I actually did enjoy the climax. I mean, weve seen it end this way before, in New Moon and Eclipsea standoff between the good guys and the Volturi. With some dialogue thrown in. Except this time, it was a million times more exciting. The wait for their impending deaths; the defiance towards Jane and Alec followed by the satisfaction of displeasing them; the brilliant speech by Garrett (I wished I could reach into the book and pat him on the back for that); the collective WOOooOOooos that we all let out when Alice came back. I thought the ending really was greata real roller coaster.

Overall, this book was a bit of a half and half for me. I was really repulsed by a lot of what happened in the first half. By that point, with all the wtfs flowing freely out of my mouth, I really thought Id come out hating this book. But, by the end, I was strangely satisfied. By the end, it really did feel like I was reading the Twilight Saga again. On a scale of 1 to 10? Maaaybee&6.65. I still think Twilight was the best of them all, and I almost wished she had ended the series there. But Breaking Dawn provided a true conclusion to the life of Bella Swann (Cullen), and I felt myself let out a sigh of closure when I finally read the last sentence.

OVERVIEW
I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen. You may BITE your bride. After their fantabulous wedding, thanks to Alice, of course, Edward and Bella fly over to Brazil, Esme's Island to be exact, for their oh-so-short honeymoon. Why is that? When changes in Bella's diet occur, there's only one explanation for it, Renesemee.

REVIEW
I've read so many thoughts on this book, I'm kinda unsure of my own, but here goes nothing. At the beginning of Breaking Dawn, it was VERY VERY BORING. Especially when it got into Jacob's book. [MAJOR SPOILER] After he imprinted on Renesemee, things started heating up, but the fire never really did start. I honest think it was really stupid for Bella to get pregnant. Like I get how it all adds up and everything, but I just felt that was like a last resort kinda thing. [SPOLIER ENDED.] I am happy with the way Stephenie ended the series though. I also am upset that it's all over, because like Harry Potter, it's just one of those series you never want to live to see the end of. Over all, Breaking Dawn was just an OKAY book. It was definitely NOTHING compared to the original, Twilight, which is and always will be my favorite of the sega. So for now, I'll be looking forward to Midnight Sun, hopefully, Mrs. Meyer will be able to continue and finish the complete book, despite what happened.

I GIVE THIS ONE THREE THUMBS UP

while there were many things about this book I did not care for, I must say it is a great read overall!
I you are reading this & are worried about the "porn" in the book....PLEASE don't. I too am a teacher & this was done in a tasteful way. She was married & there are no Harlquin Romance details! I have read many of the students books & believe me this is mild compaired to othewrs out there! There are no true details just your imagination...so for those who are horrified at the *porn* aspect of this last of the series....shame on YOUR dirty mind...Mrs. Meyers never spelled any of that out!

I loved this book. It was the best, the only part I really didn't like was that the didn't fight with the volturi. If they did fight the story would have been way better but sill I loved it.I read the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun it was so good I hope she finishes it. Anyway Breaking Dawn was amazing I read it like it like 6 times and I found out something new every time. You should read it it was a really great book and you would enjoy.

I went to the midnight premier for the book and read it in a total of 8 hours. I couldn't unglue my eyes from the book. The wait for the book was grueling, wondering how in the world Stephenie Meyer would make everyone happy was had us stumped and include the Volturi without anyone dying was also a bit confusing. The author managed to pull all of it off and still manage to surprise us. Read Breaking Dawn to find out how Bella survives through a pregnancy(!), how Jacob finds his happy ending, and how the Volturi leave Bella alone, and leave all the vampires that have come to Forks to fend off the Volturi and save Renesmee!
