Life can be overwhelming and with it sprouts anxiety. There's been a rise in anxiety among children and this book is a great way to teach them calming techniques. BREATHE teaches them ways to breathe and to hold onto the good, while releasing the bad. You can breathe loud, soft, all the while making sure to exhale.
The illustrations are stunning with their details and soft colors. The author presents us with a diverse cast because the characters are from all different backgrounds, colors, shapes, and sizes. Each of them has an animal companion to add to a child's engagement. I love how the author also teaches kindness. This is a wholesome and heartwarming read that is sure to help remind children to breathe through the hard times.
Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged four and up who may be experiencing a rough patch or for those parents who want to introduce calming techniques to their kids. This book can make a great bedtime story or for times when your child may need to take a step back.
