The Glister Journals is a realistic fiction series in four volumes. Set in California, it is first and foremost a story of friendship and love. Themes include assumptions of all kinds, bullying, prejudice, coming of age choices, family relationships, high school, horses in general, equine activities, and extreme sports. Bronze is a long but easy read suitable for all reading levels, though due to mild swearing, gradually more serious issues, and intensifying situations as the series progresses, a reader age of 15 to adult is recommended.
