Can AI Change the Future? by Olivia Watson is part of the Big Questions Answered Series. This engaging non-fiction book introduces young readers to Artificial Intelligence in an age-appropriate way.

What I Liked: Artificial Intelligence can often feel like a complex topic to explain to children, but this book successfully explains AI in a simple and non-intimidating way. I read this book to multiple classes during Computer Science week and found that we had really thoughtful and interesting conversations about some of the things presented in the book. There are bright, colorful illustrations on each page along with a few sentences in a large font. This is perfect for young readers who won’t get visually overstimulated. My favorite part of the book is the last few pages. They include a glossary that helps clarify the key terms and concepts introduced throughout the book. and a QR code for additional teaching resources and activity packs.

Can AI Change the Future? is a wonderful addition to the Big Questions Answered Series that will have young readers debating the merits of AI and wanting to learn more.
