What I liked:
Christmas Clash is a POC romantic comedy with the two main characters fighting for the lively hood of their families. The two families work at the same mall but have a long-standing family feud that they are holding on to, to the extreme measure of Romeo and Juliet. The kids make the best of what they have always known, but when the mall that they grew up in has been slated to be demolished, will they be able to rally to save it?
Final Verdict:
The plot is simple, relatable, and of course, slightly predictable, but that is why we love these kinds of stories. There is truth to be found in these pages, the depth of the characters causes them to feel real, and the problems are very relatable. A romantic comedy set in a mall reminds me of my childhood memories. Growing up in a small town trip to the mall though rare, was always a delight. The romance between our two main characters is so sweet, and their heart for loyalty to the mall is enduring. A delightful story and a quick read.
