Cinderella's family going to the ball and her wishing for a fairy godmother to send her to the ball. Her wish comes true when she gets a fairy godmother. Although this story is based on the classic Cinderella tale, it also has some dog twists to keep it fresh and interesting.

What I Liked: In this version of Cinderella she doesn't have a beautiful dress, fancy glass slippers, or an impressive carriage but she does have a funny Fairy Dogmother who makes this story stand out. A particular highlight in the story is the ending when Cinderella suggests they play together after the Prince asks her to marry him. The ending is unexpected and makes me like Cinderella even more. The illustrations are very detailed with lots of different dogs and cats in the pictures. My son enjoyed trying to find a cat hidden on every page.

There must be hundreds of versions of Cinderella but this one is worth a read for its unique take on a classic fairy tale.
