...and going, and that’s a good thing! I’ve always shouted it from the rooftops that Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series is infinitely better than Twilight, and everything Stephanie Meyer was hoping to create. However, I’m not the one who has sold millions of copies of my vampire romance novels and raked in big bucks thanks to five movies so I guess that joke’s on me. Anyway, the entire Mortal Instruments series is routinely consistent with good plot, relatable characters, and a romance I can’t help but be regularly creeped out by slash root for.

The fourth book in particular, "City of Fallen Angels," really shows how brilliant of a writer Cassandra Clare is. She essentially had the chance to end the series as a trilogy. The third book, City of Glass, ended so completely and with all questions answered that she could have gracefully walked away to move on with other projects. Clare had created such a complete world, however, that she could just keep on going with a whole new cast of villains and plot lines to antagonize our favorite Shadowhunters.

This really reminds me of J.R.R. Tolkien or J.K. Rowling in that they created such solid and tangible worlds that they probably could have kept writing adventures based in them for the rest of eternity. They quit while they were ahead, however, and chose when the right time was to bow out. I can honestly say that I hope that time doesn’t come anytime soon for Clare. I’m certain she has more Shadowhunter tricks up her sleeve.
Good Points
Clare is able to keep this world going with a whole new cast of villains after successfully completing the series in the previous book.

Here's the thing I think I waited so long for this that I wanted it to be the most perfect book ever my estimations where extremely high indeed, so I think whatever I say may be a little unfair because of course it wasn't going to be able to live up to the idea I had in my head.

I love Cassie Clare her writing style, her way of setting a scene and her characters... her writing didnt faulter amazing as always. In this story we learn a lot more about Simon other then being Clary's friend and I liked getting to know him.

There are new characters Jordan who is maia's ex he was a good edition to mix it up a little.
There are also characters from Clockwork...YAY I like cross overs in books :)
I love magnes and Alec there wasnt nearly enough of them!!!!!!! Awesome couple, I think my favorite in a while..
Although Clary has grown as a person and Jace is still HOT I cant help but feel its kind of the same ole with them and the ending.... am I the only one who questioned that?
I did like the story alot but like I said it was hard to live up to what I had in my head...I hear TMI but REALLY WITH THE ENDING!!!!
Good Points
Clary learns to fight
More werewolf action
The Ally scene!

I thought all in all that this book was really good.  Maybe not better than Cassandra Clare's others but still pretty good.  It's always hard to write another book when the previous one ended on such a happy note so i applaud Clare for trying.  Ufortunatley it wasnt quite up to everyone's standards.  I've read alot of other reviews about this book that were less than what i was hoping to hear out of people.I agree with alot of them surprisingly.

Spoiler alert!!! The whole book is basically about relashionships and trying to figure them out.  Clary and Jace were all i dont deserve you!! and Alec and Magnus were all about Magnus' past relashionships.  Simon was dating Maia and Isabelle so you can guess where  that'll lead.  It was kind of annoyning, i was litterally sitting there saying, come on, i want some fighting or something!!! they should have at least tried to figure out who was trying to kill those shadowhunters.  Instead Clary and Jace were off kissing in dark alleys, Alec and Magnus were off bickering, and Simon, well he's really the only character that was trying to figure stuff out.  And then the whole thing with Sebastion coming back! i mean what the heck!!!!

Even after saying all those mean things i still thought the book was amazing!!! It made me cry, laugh, smile, all the things that a good book should do.  It's a really good book and i would reccomend it to anyone.
