The Dangerous Dream spin-off series is already looking great. I am rubbing my hands with glee to see what shenanigans can Ridley get into. This prequel novella sets the story a bit, while leaving you wanting for the first book. How can a 46 page novella do that to me, I am still figuring it out. In such a short span, the story contained a lot. Divided into three parts, it chronicles the graduation, Link and Ridley’s on-off relationship and Ridley mistaking dangerous for interesting when she gets into something which she REALLY should have left alone. She thinks she can handle the Dark side of the Caster world but like Link, she is merely straddling the line between Light and Dark. Last line really left me feeling sorry for Link, but not sorry enough to not want Dangerous Creatures. Bring it on!
