The Hound of the Baskervilles is one of Arthur Conan Doyle's finest Sherlock Holmes novels, written years after “The Final Problem” a short story intended to be the last Sherlock Holmes story.

This most famous of Sherlock Holmes’ stories has been carefully adapted into a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that also manages to capture the mood of the foggy moors of Dartmoor England.

Shephard has captured the look and feel of a modern graphic novel in a way that really works for this classic Psychological Thriller. The story also pays homage to Doyle’s original work. After the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville, Holmes is called in to investigate the legend of the curse of the Baskervilles, which seems to be the cause of the death of Sir Charles.

This graphic novel retelling of a literary classic is such a great way to entice young new readers to Doyle’s works. I highly recommend the print edition over the kindle ebook.
