Emotional and heart breaking added with the poetic style of CR's writing and the picture is painted in vivid colors. Averie is a strong female protagonist and leads this beautiful coming of age story . A variety of characters which builds a great supporting cast around Averie, there is humor, sadness and action. CR's sarcastic and funny tone is times perfectly to give the reader a dose of comic relief in between the heavy emotions of Averie's losses. A rich and well thought out YA read.
