Bizzy is a strange bird, and Dill is a not-so-odd duck (at least that's what he tells himself). The two of them frolic through the pages of this fun picture book that is filled with happy illustrations.

Bizzy embraces being a strange bird, and she's looking for a friend who will be just as quirky as she is. She spots Dill sitting on top of a fountain reading a book and thinks he might be a good candidate for her new best friend.

Although Dill rejects the notion that he's odd in any way, he still manages to match Bizzy's idea of a fun (and odd) time. The two of them have a wonderful day riding, dining, flying, and playing around the fountain where they meet. At the end of the day they cement their friendship as a strange sensational bird and an extra-ordinary (and *maybe* a bit odd) duck

The illustrations by Lisa Ericson are great, and the story itself is good. I would have liked a bit more rhythm or rhyme to the narrative, but my two-year-old granddaughters enjoyed the story just the same. I hope the Ericson sisters team up for some more picture books in the future, and if they do it would be great to see Dill and Bizzy make an appearance again.
