This is such a great activity book for children just beginning to show an interest in drawing. Part of being an artist is learning the techniques behind the different drawing methods. This book is full of fun and easy exercises that will teach kids basic lessons in perspective drawing, 3D block drawing and different ways to take the most basic drawings and turn them into so much more. The lessons are quick and easy, so don’t worry about those short attention spans getting in the way. Kids will be drawing within minutes of picking up this book.
Speaking as an artist, the more a child can learn at a young age, the more impressive their natural abilities will become with time and practice. This book is a brilliant way to foster a fun atmosphere for learning, while teaching extremely valuable lessons an artist will use throughout their lifetime.
Each lesson includes everything you need to complete the assignment. Tracing paper, ruled paper and isometric graph paper are all included (in the back of the book). However, you might want to pick up a basic drawing kit from your local craft store because the drawing kit included is not the greatest. Particularly the ruler. Some of the exercises really need a sturdy ruler and the cardboard ruler included just won’t cut it.
Draw It 3D is the perfect book for budding young artists, and the lessons they will learn here will keep them drawing long after they’ve finished the book.
