This is a fun cookbook for kids. The fun and funky illustrations by Charles Yuen combined with the easy to understand directions make this book both fun and useful.

The recipes range from very simple (Cinnamon Toast of Love) to more complex (Junior's Jambalaya). Many of them feature educational tidbits (Jambalaya, for instance, comes from the French word for ham, jamon, and the African word for rice, ya) and all of them have Emeril's trademark attitude.

If you have a budding young chef, this is a great book to give them. One nice touch is that the recipes include both ingredient and tool lists, so you know what you need at an easy glance. Recommended for ages 12 and up (younger kids will require more adult supervision, especially with the more complex recipes).
